Disagreement is Progress

Disagreement can be both constructive and terrible.  There have been cases when disagreement caused a superior outcome or caused disaster.  The key factor is if it is honest disagreement or not.  Bandwagon is a problem, if enough people disagree with one thing, many others will follow just to “fit in”.  That is, obviously, dishonest disagreement.  When someone honestly disagrees, it is constructive and allows others to fix what made that person disagree.  The famous quote, “Honest disagreement is often a good sign of progress.” was said by Mahatma Gandhi.  His point is exactly that; we must learn to accept rather then reject those who disagree.
