Do Not Hurt Others

We should let love rule our lives and be patient ; not let anger and jealousy consume us. We should also be kind and gentle ,never forcing our will, always forgiving.
If we apply all these things in our everyday lives we will never hurt others because we will be always doing good.

”An offended brother is more unyielding than a fortified city, and disputes are like the barred gates of a citadel”, (Proverbs 18:19 – NIV).

A  wound inflicted by  a knife or sharp object can heal quickly but hurt feelings are hard to heal, and the person we hurt may close his heart to us.

It will need time and patience to make a person forgive us and in some cases, a feud can go on forever.

The best thing to do is  to avoid hurting other people so that we do not have to be in an awkward situation.

We should choose our words when we speak and avoid hurting others by our actions or deeds.

”It is harder to win back the friendship of a brother than to capture a fortified city”.

From today’s scripture there are two things we should remember ; betraying the trust of a person , and avoiding a fight that will bring harsh words and hurt others.

We should let love rule our lives and be patient ; not let anger and jealousy consume us.

We should also be kind and gentle ,never forcing our will , always forgiving.

If we apply all these things in our everyday lives we will never  hurt others because we will be always doing good.

And we can do this because Jesus has showed us that He died for us and we can live as He did sacrificing everything because of love.

”So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets”, ( Matthew 7:12).

This scripture reminds us that we should not hurt others if we do not want to be hurt, and thus to love others is better because this will make others love us too.
