Do You Believe Blowing Your Nose in Public is Rude?
Here’s my opinion, I would love to hear yours.
What actions do you take when blowing your nose in public?:
I hope you get as good a laugh when you read this question as did when I decided to write about it. What do you think, is it better to wipe and blow a nose that is running down to your lips or let it go because you’re unsure what to do? It’s this person’s belief, when a person has a problem with their nose, it’s much better to take the necessary actions to take out a handkerchief and turn away from a crowd and blow their nose. Let’s all face up to it, when a nose problem exists, it’s much better to blow the nose than to allow it to run down into the lips and the mouth…this can make people actually gag. It’s always wise to blow the nose than to keep sucking it back up into the nasal track…people look at you and think, “Yuck, how terribly gross!”
I feel for a person when they start having a nose running problem and they’re with a group of people at a table…should a person leave the table and go blow their nose, or excuse themselves and turn around in their seat and blow their nose? It’s my opinion, excusing yourself by saying, I’m sorry, and turning away from the table and blowing their nose is perfectly okay…what do you think? When we repeatedly have to leave the table because of this issue, it constantly interrupts the conversation and keeps it dragging on.
When we are dining on something that causes our eyes to water and then our nose begins to run, we’re in for a bit of embarrassment from the crowd because they’re constantly watching our every move…what do we do, dismiss ourselves from the table and leave? It might be embarrassing for the person but they should excuse themselves, turn around and blow their nose. This is a much better solution than to try and keep it from running down to be sucked back up again and again.
Life is full of embarrassing things:
Life is filled full of things in general that we have to do that may come on as rude and totally disgusting to some, but as for me, there is “no” other recourse…a person must do what they have to do. If you go about each situation in a manner of using courtesy, the people you’re with should realize all people are human and these type things do happen.
Life is full of embarrassing things but we have to choose our own discretion’s about how to handle any problem. Everyone runs into the same problems and they must choose the best choice for them. After all, blowing a nose happens to all of us, even if other people feels it’s disgusting.
