When you were first taught on how drive, for sure you have learned a lot of things and have been given pieces of advice here and there. The training usually comprises of defensive driving, safety, composure and courtesy. However, there is one sad fact you were never taught on how to get out if you are in driving trouble.
I know, you have your very own piece of experience when it comes to getting a traffic ticket. There are a lot of those who make some gimmicks in order to get out from the situation. I must say, for girls the old tactic of crying does not help at all.
One piece of advice I want to share with you, first things first never ever freak out if you are given a traffic ticket. Remember, it is not you are going to die today, right? You should stay calm. You can have your traffic ticket be reduced to a non-moving violation. In this case, your insurance rates will never be affected. Back in the old days, when I had my first traffic ticket this is what happened. After a week I got my driving license, I had my first hand experience of being issued with a traffic ticket. My first thinking was, I need to do something fast before my parents finds out what really happen. Or else my happy days will be over.
What I did was, I talked to a lawyer regarding my traffic ticket. It was issued for a speeding violation. He told me it will be no big deal at all. He had my ticket amended and it became a non-moving violation. The best part was it will never be put on record. I need to hire a lawyer during those times because I was just 16 and I can’t speak for myself inside the courtroom.
When I became 18, I can take care of myself and go to court and have the traffic ticket amended. If you can follow through what I did with my traffic tickets, then you are in the right path my friend. The ticket will not be put on record and plus it will not affect your current insurance rates. The best part is you can even keep your violations a secret.
I am not implying that you should go out on the streets and start violating all the traffic rules there is. Then, eventually collecting traffic tickets and put inside a treasure chest. Of course, not! What I am trying to say is, you need to be a responsible driver. However, there will come a time that we will be issued traffic tickets under certain circumstances.
The piece of advice that I am sharing with you will help you not mess around with your good record and not to let your insurance policy go high due to a traffic ticket being issued upon you. You should know how to protect yourself, your good record, your pocket, and especially your future. Be sure to do a little bit of research when it comes to traffic laws and the corresponding remedies available if you get yourself in trouble.
