Don’t Take Drugs

by Aaron John in Advice, March 26, 2007

Drugs are bad for kids, teenagers. They need role models to teach them what’s good and bad to do.

Drugs can be very harmful in different ways. There are lots of different drugs. Many very

dangerous, many are less dangerous. I’m going to talk to you about one type of drug, that is tobacco.

Tobacco has varies of street names for it for example, people call tobacco: Butts, Coffin Nails, Fags, Snuff, Chew, Nicotine, Cig and many more. These are names people call tobacco on the streets. There are some short term effects and long term effects that can happen to you. Short term meaning a couple of days, weeks. Long term meaning months, years, smoking for life.

Here are some short term effects. People feel relaxed after they smoke tobacco – even though there body is stimulated with smoke, they say that makes them feel relaxed. After a while of smoking tobacco, vomitting may occur. Your heart rate can increase rapidly, as the same goes to respiration rate. You will be breathing much faster than usual.

For long term effects, here are some examples. You may get lung and breast cancer. Well there are different types of cancer you can get too like mouth, throat, kidney, bladder cancer etc. You are going to get yellow teeth, and extremely bad breath. Its pretty rare but sometimes, your arteries can get clogged up and you may get a heart attack. As i said its pretty rare, but if u smoke it non stop every single day of your life, it may happen.

Kids these days needs role models. Teaching them manners, and how to respect others. Telling them what things are good to do and what are bad. But since your reading this short article of mine, you should tell your children that there are not just one type of drug in the world. There are many different kinds. Just beware, your kids might be young and not smart enough to know whats good or bad.
