Don’t Try to Understand, Just Live It!
How can I tell others when I don’t understand it myself?
When I was a school going kid, my parents used to say that I should study with concentration to make my life better. I still remember their words. When I entered the college, I saw another aspect of life-joyous, buoyant, and progressive, if I may call it so. Then came the stage where I had to tie a nuptial knot. My wife and I decided to work hard to make life better, for in the process we were blessed with two children. Things were accumulated and money was saved. But the desire to make life better was still there.
Now when I am almost fifty years old, I am vicariously told by my wife to do something to make the lives of my daughters better. I am really confused because I am unable to understand what the hell I have been doing for all these years.
I have been trying to make things better and better but in this struggle I missed the main thing. Did I live my life? Did I learn to live with life? Was five decades of my life only an unending effort to make it better? Will I keep on doing the same all the remaining years of my life.
NO, a big no comes from my mind and heart. I will live life and not try to make it better. I have never been taught how to live with life because all our academic and social pursuits are aimed at making life better. Now I want to change it because I see that there is nothing so important as life itself. So, now I have decided to not to try to understand it. I will live every moment and rejoice in all those things which I have been doing to make my life better. Now work will be a pleasure to me and not a duty. Nothing will dissuade me from the eternal bliss that I deserve like any other human being. I have found the magic and it is very simple. Don’t try to understand life: live it.
God bless you

Another well written thought. Obviously you are a very deep thinker and our world needs more people in it like you spreading the truth about life. Life is to be lived, trying to “figure it out” sometimes causes us to forget to live it to the fullest each day. Thank you.
