Dream on, and Work Hard for It!

As we drove to the office this morning, my husband and I passed a big advertisement board.
It was a car sale advertisement. With a nice and attractive design, it mentioned about the free GPS for buying the car within this month.

Somehow, the GPS image suddenly reminded me of an old movie series back in late 80s or early 90s, The Knight Rider. Starred by David Hasselhoff, this movie told a story about a young man working for a foundation which help people in trouble. The foundation facilitated the young man with a magnificent black car with many great abilities, including artificial intelligent and also GPS system. Well, at that time, maybe they didn’t call it that way.

I said to my husband,”Don’t you think that The Knight Rider was so cool? I mean, back then, they already have the GPS system in the car. I remember at that time, it was something we consider as extraordinary, or maybe just a foolish dream. But now, it seems like a very common thing”.

My husband smiled and nodded.
“Yup. How about Flash Gordon? Remember that old cartoon? That was also only a foolish dream. But now, people can fly everywhere, even to another planet or to the moon. Everything started with a dream. If you don’t dare to dream, you might not achieve anything extraordinary”.

Yes. It’s completely right. Big and extraordinary things often starts from a small dream.
We have so many examples of that in life. Many inventions start from a dream. Many famous people, politicians, artists, scientist start their path from a dream.

Isn’t it wonderful?
And this thought brought me to a more beautiful appreciation.
Isn’t God so wonderful?
He had put the ability to dream in our heart and mind. And if we dare to keep on dreaming and work hard to reach it, He also opens the way to make it real!

Dreams are special gift. Life is meaningless without dreams.
But dreams will remain dreams if we stand in silence and do nothing.
Instead, if we work hard for it and put our trust in Lord, He will grant us the serenity to understand which are the things we can not change and which are the dreams we can really achieve. And He will opens the way for it!

Like an old saying says “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”, thus dream on, and work hard for it!
