Today I read a disturbing report in a newspaper that judges were to be lenient and not jail burglars with drink and drug problems. I am a man who believes on giving people another chance. However there are many who think they are entitled to take advantage of a weak justice system like ours in the UK and offend repeatedly with fatal consequences.
If they have drink and/or drug problems, this could be a license for anyone to go and offend and have an excuse.

People with such problems need help, but by simply letting them off is doing them more harm than good, let alone the poor victims, who may see their wife and/or daughter/s raped, beaten or even murdered or their husband, son/s or other members of their family murdered.

People affected so severely by Drugs and Drink are not safe, they aren’t aware of their sanity. They are mentally disturbed to the state they aren’t truly aware of their actions. These people turned criminals to feed their habit are a liability to the public’s safety by offending for their fixes. But there is no excuse, because the person went down that road in the first place and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to tell the outcome.

It is only because the prisons are getting too full, that someone from the home office has obviously said, “let them out, then they won’t be traced. Where else would this come from?

I also feel that the access to these Drinks and Drug are too accessible for offenders after prosecution. However one can see with the recession in full flow and inadequate hope is enough to send many down this road. Although one should remain with dignity and avoid it if possible because they rot your brains and ruin lives in their wake.

So before anyone takes up drink and drugs, stop and think seriously before you do, because it will screw up your life!
