Effective Communication

Communication is a way to deliver a message between two or more people in the society. Communication includes listening, speaking, eye contact, and gestures. When a person is speaking, the person is trying to deliver a message to another person by the languages, voices, eye contact and gestures. A message will be delivered successfully if another party is paying attention to the languages, voices, gestures, and eye contacts. So, what are the important points in communication to make it effective? There are two points:

Effective Speaking

How to make an effective speaking? It’s very simple first of all you have to know what message you want to deliver. When you are clear with your own message,

• you will know what kind of gestures and eye contacts to be used.
  • you will know to whom you will deliver your message, because when you know your listener you will know what kind of language will be used
  • you will know in what condition your listener is in, because when they are not in the mood to listen to you, you will feel that it is a waste of time and energy to speak

Effective Listening

It is different between hearing and listening. What is the different? When you hear something, it will be just a coincidence of having a voice or a sound in your ear without noticing and remembering what is the voice about. But if you are listening you are putting your heart into the voice. You will try to catch the message that will be delivered to you.

So, in order to have an effective communication, you have to have those two points that I mentioned above. An effective speaking is very useful in many places and occasions such as,

Workplace

When you know how to apply the effective communication you will be saved from the scolding of the boss and the customers if you are working in the service industry.

Marriage life

When you have applied the effective communication in your marriage life, you will have a better understanding for your spouse and it makes your marriage life beautiful without any quarrelling.

Relationship with friends and parents

Parents and friends relationships are complicated, because we are not dealing with one person only, instead we are dealing with more than one person with the various characteristics. That’s why the effective communication is very important here, because when you have applied it, you will not have any barrier in your social life anymore.
