One of the main reasons that many people remain unsuccessful or have alternating experiences with success and failure, is purely because they do not realise that they have bad traits. Bad traits relate to habits and personal characteristics which ultimately result in your failure to achieve your goals. There may be some bad habits that you been so used to doing for many years could be the primary reason why you struggle so much to achieve your goals.

The Common Bad Habits
Laziness is one of the negative attributes that an unsuccessful person can suffer from. However the problem with people suffering from laziness, is that they tend usually not to want to resolve the problem, as it’s too much like hard work. Therefore, if you are serious about wanting to achieve your goals, you will need to understand the importance of hard work, dedication and perseverance. Many of the greatest people in the world are known to work way to a greater extent than those who did not leave a mark. The greats or “can do’s” tend to work far longer hours, sleep less, eat less, wake up earlier and suffer more than anybody else. It takes sacrifice and commitment to reach your goals. All you need to remember is that everything you have ever wanted to achieve, is there for the taking, but you must step outside of your comfort zone to grasp it.
A further bad habit that some people can suffer from, which prevents them from achieving their goals, is fear. Many people fear things or actions before they have even attempted them. Others can even fear the thought of being successful, to such an extent that the subconscious mind can reject any chance or opportunity that could or would have eventually lead to their success. Do not fear success – embrace it. Set yourself realistic goals in a realistic time frame. Once you have reached the first step of your overall goal, you will feel more confident and it will give you the ability to accomplish more.

Personal Bad Traits
Negativity & Pessimism. By being negative or pessimistic, is a sure way of ensuring you will not succeed. If you are negative you will always find an excuse or reason why you should fail, even if you are presented with a positive situation or opportunity. In many cases, negativity, pessimism and fear go hand in hand with one another. When you view situations in a negative light, this will tend to lead to bad results or failures most of the time. By focussing on the negative, every situation seems to be far worse than it actually is. Negativity and pessimism clouds your judgement, and causes you to lose your focus on the goals that you should be aiming for. People who are negative tend to spiral down into an ever deepening hole of despair and self pity – these people will never be successful. If you know someone who is negative, try to limit the amount of time that you spend with them, as negativity rubs off easily onto other people.
