Expiry Time
Every pain will expire.
A woman in labour thinks the world is about to end. She is in so much pain and if she is lucky enough she fortunate she can transfer some of the pain to her husband as she squeezes his hands. But the bulk of the pain is felt by her only. Every other person can at best imagine that pain. The husband can only feel a fraction of it.
Push, push and one final push. It’s a boy, girl, she can hardly hear you, she is so relieved and then all the pain drains away. The smile, the relief, the joy, it fills the room. The joy is immeasurable to the pain she felt.
There may be so much pain you are going through now that you think will kill you. You try to explain it but no one can feel it like you. No one knows how it hurts you at night and how you lose sleep over it. They could relate with you, empathise with you, but you and only you know how it hurts.
Some of us are pregnant with pain, but you can be sure that your pain will always give way to joy immeasurable. The good Lord will not allow us experience what we can handle. As tests take us to a next level, so do pains release joy unspeakable.
Nothing you face is new on the face of the earth. Share your problems with people that can help you not people that will just feel sober with you. Share your challenges with people that have been there before, they is a high chance they have invaluable advice to offer you.
Your pain will expire. Your joy will come.
