Face Value
Sometimes we felt offended when someone failed to acknowledge our greetings or worse never even thanked us for a good deed. We take everything at face value.
Never take everything at face value. Sometimes we felt offended when someone failed to acknowledge our greetings or worse never even thanked us for a good deed. Then we said “how arrogant, next time I’ll just ignore him!” Let’s not be too hasty and judgmental. Your smile, greetings or simple compliments just might mean more to them than they care to show. As long as you’re doing everything from the heart and with good intention, rest assured of one thing, as unemotional or non-chalant they appear to be, never underestimate the power of your good deed. Just keep on doing it and don’t be discouraged because one day when you least expect it, everything will come in full circle. Appreciation will come out in the open. Sometimes they will tell you straight up, at times you’ll hear it from someone else, or even at times you’ll not hear anything but you can actually feel them warm up towards you. And all this for some little gestures you did for them a long, long time ago. Then you’ll muse and tell yourself “Wow, they do remember indeed.”
