Fate Can’t Do It All
About fate and the decisions that we make in life.
Serendipity: An apparent aptitude for making accidental fortunate discoveries.
I think it is weird how fate can take control of something. I am not saying that it can choose your path. However, I think it puts things in front of you for you to see. You may have spent the entire day thinking of a certain person, wishing you could see them or talk to them and then all of a sudden, there they are. I would like to say that my city is a small town, and it is in a lot of ways. However, it was weird that I ran into the only person I was thinking about. Sitting at a stop light and there they were. What are the odds? I believe it was meant to happen. Don’t know why. Fate is not going to make a choice for me or that person. However, fate stuck it’s little head in and said hello! It made us recognize that we do have some bigger then life connection. That even when we are apart, when we think of each other we are brought into the others person’s life. Again, it really depends on who is looking at it. I for example think it was meant to happen, made me smile and made my night. It made me think. Made me remember why we had that connection and why it will never go away. Why we are meant to be in each others lives. Not sure the other party felt anything in that light in any way. Wish they did.
It’s up for you to make those decisions, fate can’t do it for you. It can only help guide you. So next time, before you pass over a situation with a friend or loved one, think if it is fate trying to help guide you. Don’t just let it go in the wind. No matter how much fate tries to guide you, if you refuse to see it… you could be passing up a wonderful future. Don’t hesitate people! Don’t hesitate in anything. Love, life, work. It is all too short. If you want something, take it. If you love someone, love them and be with them. If you want to see a friend, call them. If you want that promotion go and ask for it. I have learned, the hard way, that life is short. Over the course of my life I lost two things that have hurt me more then anything. We all will be hurt in some way. It is bound to happen. However, at the end of the day I will be happy knowing that I tried. That I did whatever I could to get what I want, what I love, what I need, what I dream of. Can you say the same? Don’t live in the past. Don’t think, “Oh, well I tried that and it didn’t work.” What are you doing now? Yeah, a friendship was lost over time. Do you love that person, do you want them in your life? Then go out and make it happen. If you are the friend that did something wrong, say your sorry and try and move on with the other person. If they don’t want to, then at least you can say that YOU tried. I have had several moments recently that have happened regarding this. People I haven’t spoke to in years, jobs, gigs, Etc. Of course it all falls back on if the other party is willing or able. So thank you to those of you who have reached out to me from the past. Those that are willing to forgive. Those that are willing to admit their mistakes and tell me what they want. Those that have allowed me to forgive them. Those that continue to reach out to me. As long as we all are living life to our fullest and going after what we want and love… we will have a great future in each others lives. That doesn’t mean we won’t still fall. Someone wrote me the other day and said, ” We all fall. While carrying the cross, Jesus fell 3 times.” Now I am not a huge religious person. However, I feel we all just need to pick ourselves back up and go after what we want.
