Five Keys to a Living a Rich Life
by Being rich doesn’t mean just having money, it can be a whole lot of things, but essentially it means being abundant in every area of your life. Here are five keys to help you unlock this in your life.
1. Serve others. Realise that to be rich you have to serve people by meeting their needs. This can be richness in wealth, in time, in love. When you serve people and meet their heartfelt needs, you will never be poor. This is often seen as a bit of a contradiction, but so many who have walked this path have found it exactly true.
2. Be generous in giving out your life to others. Be a giver not a receiver, and share all you have. Share your life, your money, your wisdom, your knowledge, so that others may gain help with what you have been given.
3. Be compassionate to others, and reach out showing mercy to all you come into contact with especially the poor and lesser fortunate. Don’t worry about getting anything back, life will reward you back in time. When you take pity on those who have less than you, it will bring you deep satisfaction that you have helped someone in need, don’t hold back in doing this and be a joyful giver.
4. Be focused on what you want to achieve in your life, even when you don’t feel like. Life will reward those who persevere even through the storms. Success comes to those who don’t give up, even when the fail. Michael Jordan, the legendary basketball star said ‘I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.’
5. Keep yourself grounded and don’t let your pride overtake you. There’s always people who are better than you at something, so let your humility shine and you will have a far greater impact than one who is modest about their achievements. Have your values stamped on your heart, and never let them be bought off.
