Running an organisation aiming towards the eventual day of world domination—I wish you a good one on it—requires a firm hold of the situation, because the day will come where a situation of monumental oh shit happens. It can’t be helped with those James Bond types ready to ruin those times of your near complete world dominating fun taking place. So here are five things that may help improve your chances of world dominating success.

1. Location: Somewhere on the unsuspecting side works—try avoiding oil rigs, islands, mountains and skyscraper—those places lack originality and are probably placed on some kind of list going along the lines of these places are likely to contain world domination based organisations. So I suggest an underground base or something based in and around Disneyland Paris—who would suspect Disneyland Paris?

2. Henchmen: Hire professionals from every field—give yourself a wide range of choices in case things don’t work out. Also avoid the bubbling type, they’re great to blame, but blaming people doesn’t help you take over the world.

3. Dealing with Intruders: Remove any intruder’s without a single thought. Never do a Q&A session with the intruding bastard guest.

4. Style: How are you going about this domination of the world? Do you plan to do some over the top stuff, with the inherent (and pointless) hope of it working out because of all that work you’ve put into it. Never do anything that costs more than the cheaper (and more efficient) method of taking over the world—be the modern day corporate type with all the business sense of Rupert Murdoch.

5. Plan: Be simple, direct and fully prepared for anything that might popup during the whole process of ascertaining funds at the beginning, hiring people who suit the bill and getting some kind of HQ up and running—you don’t want to appear unprofessional by working in the back of some shop.

Remember those simple tips and you’ll be taking control of the world in no time flat.
