Five Ways You Can Help the Environment
I’ve found some great ways to help save the planet – Things every day people can do.
I’ve always cared somewhat about the environment, and I’ve been doing some research and I’ve come up with five ways you can help make a positive impact on the environment. Without having to listen to Al Gore anymore, here they are;
Don’t Buy Bottled Water
Each time you throw away an empty bottle of water it goes to a landfill. And plastic never biodegrades. This is very bad for the environment because the faster a landfill gets filled up the more we have to dig, which means land clearance and high pollution.
Drive Less
Even if it means you have you walk a little, I know, it’s a scary thought, just try walking to the store next time rather than taking your car. That will save a little smog from going into the air.
Recycle
Recycling helps the environment in many ways; it helps keep plastic out of landfills, it eases companies from cutting down more trees for paper, and it helps companies reuse cans.
Obviously, Don’t Litter
Littering causes trash to collect on city streets, plastic wrappers, cigarette butts, and beverage bottles can rein in the gutters, causing dirty city water, trashes up your down, and is just overall bad for the environment.
Turn off you electronics When you leave the room, make sure that your lights are turned off. Along with computers, video game systems, and TV’s. The less electricity you use the less coal and gas is burned to power your home.
There are more expensive ways to help the environment, but, these days no one really has the money for spending ten thousand dollars on windmills for your home, or hybrid vehicles. But the preceding ‘Magic Five’ are the easiest ways for working class families like mine to help the planet and even save them a little green. Thank you.
