Four Ways to Get The Best Out of People

by james witherspoon in Advice, October 8, 2009

Four creative ways to get the maximum productivity from your team.

It is important how you say it:

When you want something quickly, instead of asking “When do you think it is possible ?” you need to ask “How soon can i get it ?”.Most of the times you can get the other person to say yes just by being polite and altering your tone.

Lead by example:

Your team is going to be as much effective as you are. Most team members expect you to lead by  example or practice what you say. When you demonstrate that you are the best man to do the job,but you want the team memebers to come up,they will understand your importance and respect you.

Peer pressure:

When everyone is working towards a common goal those left out will also strive harder.t is important to induce a sense of competion in the team. But forst you need to set the basics right – meaning you should be sure that the team memebers are interested to move towards a growing career path.

Collborative approach:

The team will figure out who will do what and how they will do it to meet the timelines. What is important is that you meet regularly to chase a common objective. This brings a great sense of direction and objectiveness in the team.
