Get a Plan
With a little planning, your workout goals are attainable.
Okay folks, not only is this the title of my debut novel . . . it’s also the mantra that I live by. If you fail to plan, you are indirectly planning to fail. How does this apply to your fitness routine, you ask? It’s so clear, ladies. How many times have you set your mind to committing to getting that work out in and then something came up? Or what about that time when promised yourself that you wouldn’t have seconds if you weren’t really hungry and 3 plates later you sit at the table digusted? Temptation is really out there and if we are not prepared, it will get us. Our only defense is coming up with ways to offset said temptation before it even has a chance to strike. For instance, if you know that you want to get in a workout, either make it first on your agenda or clear your calendar for that time and let others know you won’t be available. Stop making excuses and take responsibility. It’s no one’s fault but your own if you don’t get up from that table and take a walk versus taking in another 700 calories or so. We can get the results we want, when we plan to do what we need! Until next week good people . . . stay healthy and get a plan.
