Get Attention From Anybody

Fame has become the new epic journey; it used to be that young men sailed off into unknown lands when they wanted to find adventure, now they join rock bands. Learn how to get consistent attention from others, and develop meaningful relationships as a result.

Whether it’s as a public speaker, as a salesman, or just wanting to have others notice you, getting attention can be a difficult thing. Yet it is an incredibly prized thing in our modern culture. Fame has become the new epic journey; it used to be that young men sailed off into unknown lands when they wanted to find adventure, now they join rock bands.

The essence of all of this though is simply the act of getting attention from others. I know guys that will go out dressed up in the craziest uniforms imaginable, and I know others that will practice magic tricks and juggling just to get people to notice them. All of this reminds me of clowns or medieval jesters.

After a long time of being around others and being very successful at getting attention from others, I have noticed that people care very little about clownish acts.   These acts are certainly good at getting people to pay attention to you right off the bat but unless you can keep your clownish banter going, people soon get bored and uncomfortable.

What consistently allowed me to get the attention of just about anyone is my ability to let others know just how important they are to me. My ability to let others know how important they are seems to be far more powerful than any mask that I might put on.  This also allows me to establish truthful and meaningful communication that is very important if you want to create any kind of meaningful connection.

Next time that you need to get the attention from others, keep this phrase in your mind, “You are very important to me.” You will be incredibly surprise how others react to you when you make this statement the core of your interrelation with others.

You won’t need to resort to crazy acts; just let your instincts tell you how to proceed. And don’t go out there with a feverish need to get something from others. Be kind and giving without expecting anything in return. You will then find that others are interested in you naturally. This interest won’t fade when you stop being the local clown and any relationship that you are able to begin will be much more meaningful and real.
