Giving Hope
Sometimes a friend feels low. It’s very important to boost his morale and encourage him to start again.
A lady who had no hope in her life, was admitted to hospital. She never wanted to live. She started behaving in a strange way. She was losing her sight. She thought she will die when the last leaf of the plant outside her window will fall. That plant had only three leaves. Some days later two leaves shed. Now she became more sure of her death that very night. Her friend got worried because of her weired behaviour. It rained very heavily that night,it was not less than a storm. But,to her surprise in the morning that leaf was intact. She was shocked to see that, then some hope aroused in her to live. Unfortunately her friend got admitted in the same hospital because of pneumonia and her friend died after few days.
After some days when she was leaving from hospital, she was very depressed as she lost her only friend. Suddenly the nurse came and handed over some belongings of her friend to her and told her that it was her friend only who saved her life by painting a leaf on the wall in the rain storm.because of which she got pneumonia and died. She did so to give her friend a hope in life.
I think this is a perfect example of giving some a hope and encouragement in life. This is true friendship and an art of living relationship in life.

That brought back memories. I am sure I saw a film of that story many years ago. It is a bit like a parable. Good work.

beautiful article. i agree with it 100%. i think if we can give hope to people who are down, it’s the best thing in life. we gain inner peace from this too. it’s also very rewarding.
