Harboring Bitter Feelings Creates Bitter Lives

Creating a change for a positive world is hard when people harbor ill feelings.

I do not much understand why people hold on to their bitterness. Do people not understand that negativity breeds ill will and can cause someone physical stress. Why can’t people take that negativity and turn it into something good. Instead of looking down at people and making yourself upset…Turn that frown upside down. I am not a perfect person, but I do believe that the world can change for the better as long as people are willing to set aside their differences and start creating changes for a positive world.

I so often am judged by people who think I am a worthless piece of crap. People do not see the big picture about me. They do not see my trials, my good deeds, my struggles, etc. I don’t really know what they see or feel about me. I do not do drugs, drink, harm people, steal, etc. I do not go bragging about my good deeds for recognition. I pray, go to Church, work, pay tithes, I am active in charitable groups and Church. I am just an average person trying to be a positive, honest, productive person in society. I have had my share of hardships just like the rest or the world.

I don’t ever wish people harm even if they look down upon me. I just try to be positive and understanding. Everyone is entitled to feel however they wish and for whatever reason. It is tragic that one would put that much time and effort into harboring ill will. Now I do understand that a person must get their feelings out in the open, even just to vent, but it does jab at you to hear such cruel things. It makes any bit of emptiness you already fell, feel that much worse.

Sometimes a person can not help the situations that they are dealt, but they are always given the opportunity to help, or hinder. It is not always an easy task to try to get yourself out of a terrible situation. You may fall again and again, but what determines the outcome is your willingness to keep trying. I guess most people give up after the third try. A true winner continues the “fight”.

People see me as a failure. I do not have a beautiful house, a well paying job, or a great car. I do have the willingness to try even though I may fail. I have the determination to stand up for what I believe in even though I may be all alone. I have the Love of my Creator. And I have the hope that through my efforts I will bring about a positive change.
