Harvesting Ac Water
Recycling AC water.
Just when the world is observing World Water Day an innovative idea to recycle water from air conditioners has come up in the limelight. You must have noticed how much water is condensed by an AC machine if you are living in a humid area or near the sea. This noble idea, if implemented, can save gallons of water per day that can be recycled and use for different purposes like gardening, cleaning, and washing. Thousands of households can be benefited from this idea, especially in developing countries like India, where water crisis is a major issue, particularly in summer.
We all know water flows from the outlets of air conditioners. If we can keep a large tumbler under the AC outlet we can store this water which can be used for different household work. It has been observed that one night’s collection from half-ton AC produces half a bucket of water. If this is the case, just imagine how much water can be accumulated from factories, shopping malls, hotels, or public areas with central ACs!
The Japanese have already implemented this idea and so they have connected the outlet from wash basins to cistern of flush toilets. Although, there is questions about the potability of the water as it can contain insulating material, color, and other chemicals the water can be at least used for washing your cars.
When we are trying hard to save water for our children and observing The World Water Day why not try recycling AC water?

Great idea.. I too share this view. Whenever I see the dripping water from my split AC, I think that it can be harvested.. Nice share.

AC wastewater is often collected when the Brac Greywater Recycling System is installed in a home or commercial setting. Visit http://www.bracsystems.com
