How Can I Get What I Want?

This article tells of simple changes you can make in order to achieve any goal you set for yourself.w.

So you have been going through the motions, thinking you have been doing what you need in order to make things happen. However, to your dismay, you feel as if you are walking in circles getting nothing accomplished. I know how it feels. Been there, rode that ride and I am ready to jump off! Problem is, once you realize you been riding in circles, jumping off and regaining your senses is really only the beginning of your journey.

If there is anything in this life you want, you simply must go after it. Almost like a map. You have to have a direction in which you are headed. However, you must be ready for obstacles. When you use lets say, mapquest. It tells you the best route to your destination. It can also tell you where major tourist attractions are, rest areas, places to buy food, etc. Sometimes we have to jump off course to ensure we have the strength to continue on our journey. Deciding what is important and a necessity to reaching your goal is key. You surely can’t go on a long journey and not rest, or eat, but do you have to stop and see that giant ball of string just 5 miles out of your way? Mapquest can also tell you what roads are being worked on and alternate routes to avoid a delay. When we see that a path has a detour, do we cancel the whole trip or do we take the alternate road?

Most of us would instinctively say, just take the alternate route. It leads to the same place, it might take a little longer, but if we want to get to where we are gong, we have to move around the obstacle, not let it hinder our ability to continue. This rings true in life as well. If we let all the distractions pull us away from our goal, we will never reach it. How is it, we can look at a map and decide its ok to go a different way to the same destination, however; in reaching a goal we have set for ourselves, we let these obstacles bully us around. Then we complain and cry that you know where you want to be, but everything around you is stopping you.

Well, here is some good news. The only thing stopping you from reaching your goals, is you. For instance, I myself  have always wanted to write a book. Everything from raising my kids to cleaning the house has really limited my time to spend on something that won’t be done over night. My computer runs like a POS. The mouse freezes, I can’t upload any programs on it.  Even right now, my mouse is frozen. The only reason I can still type is because that is what I was already doing when it froze. In order to actually send this article in, I must put my pc on standby, spin around in my chair three times, shutter with aggravation, give an offering and then my PC will wake up, reset my mouse and I am good for another couple of minutes or so. Not the best item to use in writing a book. The constant distraction of the computer not working properly pulls me even farther from my goal.
