How Many 10 Years Do You Have? Take Action Now
An inspirational article about life and the power of taking action.
We might have a lot of wishes in mind and we might have a lot of things that we want to do but most of the time we do not do most of the thing we want to do in life. Life is too short for regrets; take action and do it whenever we have things we want to do in life.
Few weeks ago, I am enlightened by a short talk with my friends when I started asking:
“How many 10 years do you have in a life?”
Most of them will say: “6, 7 or 8, the most will be 9 or 10”.
Life is really short when we count the number of 10 years we have in this life.
In a blink of an eye, my badminton racket accompanied me for around 8 years. And, the moment of getting it is still fresh in my mind.
Assume we will live until 80 years old, let us do some mathematic calculation:
1 to 5 years old:
We are still babies or small child; we spend the best moments in life in this 5 years period.
6 to 20 years old:
We started studying and most of us end our academic studying life at 20 years old.
21 to 60 years old:
At this stage of life, we spend most of our time to work for money.
61 to 70 years old:
At this stage of life, we are spending our time with our family and children and grandchildren.
71 to 80 years old:
Mostly we are no longer able to do a lot of things we want to do.
So, we are actually using most of our life to do most of the things that we HAVE to do but not we WANT to do.
So, I want to ask you: “How many 10 years do you think you will have in life?”
Think through this question properly.
I hope you will get enlighten after reading this article, do the thing you want to do, take action, live life now. Dreaming for a thing will not help us succeed ONLY action will bring us to our goal.
