How to Cheer Yourself Up When You are Having a Bad Day
We all feel down at times, perhaps it is just a bad day or perhaps you are feeling hurt or lonely. Here are some suggestions to help you feel better.

Make An Effort
Don’t just sit there looking and feeling miserable. it will make you feel worse. Make an effort, get up and do something active, it will make you feel better.
Get Some Fresh Air
Get outside in in the fresh air, walk in the park, take a bike ride, or go for a run . The exercise will be good for you, you will be able to enjoy your surroundings and it will give you some thinking time to help you get your thoughts in order
Do Something Creative
Draw, paint a picture, play an instrument, write a poem, cook something special or find some way of being creative. It will be relaxing and enjoyable and it will help you to get your feelings into perspective.
Play with Your Cat
Spend time with your pets, walk the dog, play with the cat, talk to the fish, it really doesn’t matter what type of pet that you have. Spending time with pets is relaxing, they make us laugh and they are good listeners. If you don’t have a pet, walk a friend’s dog or go to the park and feed the ducks.
Do Some Cleaning
When you are feeling cross cleaning the house helps you to get it out of your system. Clear out clutter or change your room around, you will feel better afterwards and the house will be nice and clean.
Write It Down
Some people find that writing down their feelings in a diary or in a letter (that they don’t intend to send) helps to get your thoughts in order and afterwards you will feel more settled.
Listen to Music
Some people like to lose themselves in a good book, others like to listen to music, try it, it will take your mind off your troubles.

Spend time with Friends
Chat to your friends or family, visit them or arrange to meet up for a coffee. If you have no friends or family nearby why not volunteer, there lots of people feeling sad and alone and there are lots of ways that you can help out.
Plan A Treat
It is nice to have something to look forward to, so plan a treat for yourself, an outing, a trip to the hairdressers, a shopping trip or whatever you would enjoy. It doesn’t have to be expensive but it is important to make a little time for yourself.
Deal With It
If you are worried about a health problem, dealing with your tax return, making a difficult decision, whatever it is you need to deal with it. You need to face whatever it is and get it sorted out, even if you are afraid of bad news, you will not make it go away by avoiding it. It may not be as bad as you think and you will feel much better when you have dealt with it.

I agree with you, if you have a bad situation to deal with do it as soon as possible, in any case it will be one chore out of the way.
