How to Get Ahead

The Rush Hour Traffic Island.

Okay so there you are, on your way to work. You were late up again, no time for breakfast and you couldn’t find a clean shirt for love nor money.

At least you’re in your car, on the way to work. That’s something, eh?

Think again. It’s rush hour. You’re stuck in a stationary queue of traffic that stretches from your front door to your retirement party.

What you need is some tips for getting ahead. Okay, today’s tip, number one. Traffic Islands. Roundabouts.

You’re sitting in the left hand lane, in a motionless queue of other workers waiting to turn left, just like you.

If only you were turning right, huh? The lane to turn right is empty, just like it is every morning.

Man, people turning right even get let out at the island, I mean, what harm could it do?

Check this out:

1- You use the right hand lane. Straight up to that island, nobody in your way, right?

2- Okay, now turn right. “What? Right? But I want to go left!” I hear you say. Well, just keep indicating right and…

3- …go right around that island and, look, you have right of way.

4- You’re now at the front of that queue of traffic where just thirty seconds ago, you were at the back!

Enjoy!

Watch this space for more simple tips on getting ahead…

PS> If you drive on the right where you live, just swap this around, easy, eh?
