Sometimes you’ll wonder why you can’t get the project to look the same as the picture. There are many things you’ll ask yourself, and it can be frustrating. But there are things you can do to fix these things without having to give up on it.
Counting
When following a pattern, counting is always the most essential part. A pattern was designed specifically with counting in mind. If you’re going to follow a pattern, make sure you count every stitch you make.
Gauge
A gauge is basically the size you should get a certain amount of rows and stitches. This helps you to make the project exactly what you want it to turn out to be. A helpful thing to do when measuring your gauge is to make sure your tension is not too loose or tight. This could cause it to be too small or too big. We’ll talk about tension next.
Tension
Tension is just how tightly or how loose you hold the yarn while you crochet. Tension can be another key part when following a pattern. The more tight
