How to Instantly Improve Your Mood
Sometimes things do go the way you want them to. But there is a way to make yourself feel better before you can deal with the problem.
So the sun is shining and summer is almost here, but you find yourself having the blues? Just to top that, the skinny jeans don’t fit as well as it used to, and the frizz in your hair just won’t go away. But do not despair, there is no reason for it to ruin the rest of your day. Feeling good has nothing to do with how you look or what kind of day you had. Feeling good about yourself is something you have full control over. Here are some things you can easily do:

Smell Great
Our emotions are greatly influenced by the sense of smell. Some of the good scents that will improve your mood include: freshly baked gingerbread cookies, fine ground coffee, freshly smelling just washed clothes, citrus fruit, lavender and roses. A light scent of perfume can make your day a bit better because it will remind you of good times.
Breathe Deeply Through the Nose
If you feel a bit stressed out and overwhelmed by your thoughts, just take three deep and long breathes. So what is the trick? Despite of what might be going on in your life, it is physically impossible to form any sophisticated thought once you do that. The brain will clear out and will help you relax, so that you can reassess the situation. Extra oxygen to brain also cools down the blood and allows you to monitor your moods more efficiently.
Sing Out Loud
You might never sound like Mariah Carey, but it will make you feel fantastic. It is a great way to release tensions. The air that you are taking in will help you several chemicals that improve the mood.
Use Your Imagination
All hopes start with positive ideas about the world, and all fears start with scary notions about the world. Luckily, we have full control over what is going on in our head. The brain cannot actually tell the difference between a real event and an imagined one. To start, you might want to bring up a relaxing picture in your mind, like a tropical beach, the desert or a luxurious hotel room. Imagine that you are there, feel the calmness and serenity. Or imagine that you are inside a protective bubble and nothing can actually hurt you. When you feel like you have pushed the negative thoughts out of your head, you can deal with your problem and imagine how to reach a desired outcome.
