How to Instantly Increase Your Confidence With the Power of Positive Questions
You can instantly increase your confidence by learning how to ask yourself more empowering questions. When you focus your mind on positive questions and keep your mind off negative questions, your confidence will soar.
Confidence in oneself and in one’s abilities is essential to a happy and successful life.
Confident people tend to enjoy more success in their lives than people who lack confidence.
Most of us are confident in some situations, some of the time, but few of us are confident in all situations, all of the time.
Events that require confidence like public speaking, performing on stage, asking your boss for a raise, running a successful business, asking someone out on a date, etc, can bring on a barrage of negative thoughts about our ability to succeed.
At such times we often ask:
-
What if I fail?
-
What if he/she says no?
-
What if I fall flat on my face?
-
What if they really hate my presentation?
-
What if I make a mistake?
Do you see how thinking such thoughts cannot possibly induce confident feelings?
When you ask a negative question…guess what you get in return?
Yes…you guessed it…a negative answer.
Your brain will always come up with answers to match your questions:
The trick to becoming more confident is to learn how to ask yourself more positive questions.
Here is one of the best techniques I have found to instantly start asking yourself more positive questions and thereby by instantly induce more confident feelings.
First, imagine you have just completed the task 100% successfully and you are being interviewed by a reporter who wants to know the secret of your success. Such a reporter might ask you the following questions.
-
Why do you think you succeeded so spectacularly today?
-
The audience loved you; why are you such an effective speaker?
-
What did you do to prepare such a powerful and useful presentation?
-
They said yes…why do you think you were able to convince them?
Your answers might look something like this:
-
I succeeded because I put everything I had into it and I kept on believing I could do it
-
I am an effective speaker because l research public speaking techniques and I practice them daily
-
I prepared by rehearsing what I wanted to say, and then I visualised myself saying it confidently
-
I got them to say yes by preplanning my strategy and learning negotiation and persuasion skills
The reporter’s questions and your answers can be anything you like, as long as they are positive questions and positive answers said as though you have already successfully achieved the task.
Asking positive questions in this way will instantly get you thinking more confidently about yourself and your performance.
The more you practice “The Power Of Positive Questions” the more confident you will become.
You will know if you are using the technique correctly if you start to instantly feel a little spark of confidence the moment you begin asking and answering your positive questions. These feelings of confidence will grow the more questions you ask, and answer.
Don’t just take my word for it, try this technique right now and see for yourself…you will be pleasantly surprised how easy it can be to instantly increase your feelings of confidence, the moment you start asking yourself more empowering questions.

We all have these doubts and bouts of confidence. We may go weeks or months without any new ideas, and then all of a sudden our minds are flooded with so many at once we can’t write them down fast enough. Nice informative article.
