How to Live a Healthy Life in This Modern Society
No one would realize how unhealthy our lifestyles are until we fall sick. But how to live a healthy live? Where do we start? Am I living healthily now? I found the answers to all these questions here. A new discovery on how to live a healthy life is here to share.
I am not an expert in health care but working in the health care industry and the concern of attaining best of health for myself and of my family, I beginning to and continue with the quest of finding answers to live a healthy life. Here are the 11 pointers that I discovered so far. Each one of them form the integral part of being healthy to our body, mind and soul. The findings are very much on a lay man rather than in professional manner.
1) Open mind. One would have to realise, recognise and accept with an open mind that we are living an unhealthy life in this modern society and willing to make changes to improve it.
2) Cleanse our body. Our body has accumulated so much unwanted stuff over the years which can not be passed out just by going to the toilet in a usual way neither can be discharged totally through sweat at workouts or exercises. The unwanted stuff (toxin) in our body will one day become a big problem if they are not being gotten rid of. This will lead to the common sickness in our modern world, the degenerative diseases and many other sicknesses.
It is found that our body is in its best form and better absorption of nutrients after our body has been detoxified. So go for a detoxification and rejuvenation programme that suite you best. Ask the advise of the nutritionist or doctor before embarking on such a programme.
3) Take vitamins and supplements. It is very rare that everyone of us would be able to have an intake of balance meal each day so the nutrients that we need each day is far from the recommended amount. That is why the intake of vitamins and supplements play an important part to fill in the gaps.
It is recommended to check with the nutritionist and doctors in what vitamins and minerals that you are lacking. I personally find supplements in liquid form is easier to consume and also readily absorb by our body.
4) Do an annual checkup. This is to know your health conditions better. Immediate care can be taken if necessary.
5) Exercise. The level and type of exercises needed is differ from person to person. Generally, it is sufficient to exercise for 45 minutes to an hour, three time a week.
6) Eat more vegetable and fruits. Besides having to eat more vegetable and fruits, we should also cut down the intake of animal fats and sugar. Drink fresh fruit juices for easy absorption.
7) Sleep early and get enough sleep. It is recommended to go to bed before 11pm. Our body is in detoxification state between 11pm to 2am. If we are still awake during this hours, our body will not be able to carry out this function. This will larger affect our health in the long run.

9) Balance family time and work. Family is important to us. Please do not over work ourselves. Spend quality time with our family. Your family need you.
10) Learn to forgive. Do not live in the past. Though whatever happened can not be forgotten, past is past, learn to forgive and let go. Hatred will do harm to your mind and soul, thus your health. There are better tomorrows ahead, learn from the past and life goes on.
11) Live and lead a spiritual life. Say a prayer anytime you will feel like and pray each night before going to bed. God do listen and He is always here for us.
The above are the discoveries that I personally find to have great impact not just to our health but also to our whole mind and soul. Love our self before we have the capabilities to be able to love and care for our love ones. Learn to live life to the fullest with optimal health.
