How to Motivate People Easily!
Why is it important to motivate people? Do we need to learn how to read people in order to motivate them?
Let’s see below.
One learns how to motivate people simply to achieve a common group goal. It is however, not easy at all times. There are certain challenges a person should handle to encourage his followers and/or teammate to work as one team.
Leaders are the usual ones who are tasked to motivate a group. A leader may be your boss, your friend, your parents or you. If you’re leading a pack or a certain number of people with a common interest, you may want to check out these simple tips to see if they would work for you and your team.
1. Make the common goal clear among the members.
Motivation techniques involve setting a final end goal that benefits everyone. It may be a new car for the family or 3-month company bonus at the end of the year or bigger online payout by the end of the month. While achieving a goal is reward in itself; knowing the benefits behind that goal truly motivates people.
2. Give credit where credit is due.
Don’t let a success, big or small, pass unnoticed. A leader should be able to acknowledge and congratulate a member whenever a milestone is done.
A simple pat on the shoulders or “Good job!” goes a long way in motivating people. When a person is recognised for his achievements, he is more likely to develop confidence and pride in doing what we does. It’s similar to a child given a star for doing a good job in class. It boosts morale and self-worth to the child; and certainly to anyone whose given credit for a job well done.
3. Don’t say something you won’t and can’t do.
This is a classic example of the saying “A good leader is said to be a good follower”. When you’re leading a number of people, always pressume that you are being watched. If you say no to tardiness, do not be late. If you say be active in social gathering, be sure to attend company outings and events.
4. Know what you’re team needs.
A team is composed of different kinds of people. Each one has his/her own needs and wants. These needs may be of personal growth, professional growth, financial rewards, social belongingness, etc.
In this case, the way to motivate people is to talk with the team. Learn their needs and try to address them. Be in the know so that you’d be able to fill any gaps, as much as you can. Also, it gives a chance to the members to assess and re-assess their personal goals with the team. It’s a win-win for both the leader and the follower/s.
5. Stay motivated, no matter what.
The truth is, you can’t always please everyone in the workplace. One can only do so much. What’s important is to stay motivated, as leaders. Continue to find ways to excel in what you do; and those who are motivated by you will definitely follow.

A good article for job motivation of being a Manager/Leader of a group of people. But, really you cannot get 100% unity all the time, and it is with the leader to find way to solve any problem/s that comes along the way.
