How to Overcome Your Fear: An Easy Method to Conquer Your Fear
Everyone has fear inside of them, and there are many ways to control them. In this article are some of the easy methods to control your fear.
Do you get scared sometimes, of something scary or you never have tried before? Before telling you any methods of controlling fear, let me tell you some things first about fear. Fear is a natural trait that comes in human beings and most animals as well. You can’t destroy fear, it’s a part of you; a fragment. Maybe you can’t get rid of it, but you most certainly can control fear.
You are the controller of yourself; no one else. In the end, you are the one making decisions. As I have said on the above paragraph, fear is a controllable emotion. Now we learn a few ways to control this felling you don’t really want to have very often. There are many types of fears and if there are different types, there will be different methods to control them, such as seeing something bad (like face to face) or experienced something really bad as well.
1. This method is one of the easiest to be in charge of your fear; not very great for future use, but good to the brain. To physically and mentally avoid your fear, for example horror movies. Avoid watching and thinking about them, this way you are controlling your fear by avoiding them. For the learning part of this method not very good, since you are avoiding your fear which means you are still scared of it. It’s a way, but as I said, not very useful.
2. Here’s another way to control and harness your fear. This method is for standing up to bullies at school, to people you used to be scared of, to big huge roller coasters you never rode in your life; those kinds of stuff. To control this type of ‘fear’ you face it. … Really, once you are used to this type of fear, you can make fear into happiness. For example, skydiving. Your friends go and invite you to skydive but you are afraid. Again fear is a normal emotion, but don’t make fear a habit. By telling yourself “I am brave, I can do this, and I will” several times while closing your eyes (and make sure you do this seriously because you’re telling your brain to perform actions). Don’t be too ambitious with this ‘talking’. It works you just need to try.
