How to Save Money and Eat Healthy
This is a guide to saving money in these uncertain times and addressing the way we eat and our diet.
We would all like to save money and we can do just that. Everyone can save money by buying items on special and by taking advantage of stock take sales and many other offers afforded throughout the year. Also when shopping and where possible buy in bulk as in food stuffs be it in boxes or pallets. This can save you a lot rather than purchasing individually you will save a nominated sum over a month and if you multiply this over a year it’s a bonus. The same would be the case for fruit and vegetables especially if you wait until the end of the week and preferably the weekend where you can pick and choose whats best for you and your life style. You could even shop on behalf of a group and share the duty around as well as the huge savings which would number in the hundreds over a year for the group be it friends, neighbours or the street you live in. You may elect to join as a member of a large warehouse where prices are marked down. You would probably pay a membership due. This would be minimal once the savings are realised as such a place would stock many products as well as items and if you buy in bulk you will save more than if you purchased on a weekly basis type of shop which is a good measure for the consumer. Also keep your receipts for the reason of discounts on petrol for your car for where I live it’s four cents per litre and at other times there is a loyalty card special where you could benefit from a petrol voucher of fifteen cents a litre depending on your spend total.
I would also like to voice opinion on the value of eating at home in these times of economic hardship rather than eating out. When you have dinner at home you absolutely know what you are eating as you are cooking for yourself and using ingredients you are fully aware of. If you grow your own vegetables in your backyard veggie patch firstly you have that organic growth that you cared for and the taste is so rich it far outweighs what you would buy from a stall or shop. The savings are high and the satisfaction is all yours. This is especially wiser than going along to a restaurant. Where I live the portions you receive tend to be smaller, yet the cost remains the same or increases. I need to see value for money in front of me.Whilst it’s good to have a break from normality and give the cook in the family a break and a night off, not all people can afford it on a constant basis once you weigh up the budget in family in these our modern times.
