How to Solve the Problem of Racism
Yet another article on “how to solve the problem of racism”? Yet some more advice?
We all know the Acoholics Anonymous Pledge.
We all know the Gamblers Anonymous Pledge.
Or we can find these pledges easily online.
What should be the Racists Anonymous Pledge?
But such we’re all such racists, which of us has the moral authority to write such a pledge?
I am ___________, and I’m a…..
Well, I guess I’m denial like all the other insane racists, just can’t admit it, and given the fact I’m from a great race and we’re such great people, but I can’t just admit being a racist….of course, I’m not a racist, nor are any of my friends racists, and most of the people I know are not racists, we don’t use the n word or the k word or the g word, or what’s the demeaning derogatory denigrating dangerous word they call your people?
I am ___________, and I’m a…..
Some people are trying to explain Michael Richards by claiming he’s insane. But if we’re indeed all racists, and racism is indeed a form of insanity, then when it comes to race, we’re all–insane.
Just try to get us to admit it.
Yet, it’s refreshing to hear to two "sane" young men, the brunt of Michael Richard’s racism, in their TV interview, talking about Michael Richards. But these are young African American men, in their mid twenties, who state, also, that this is the first time that they have experienced such racism, or heard such a "racist rant." Say what? Yes, these are truly young men. They are truly young men.
Even having grown up in a generation where such racist speech is "banned" from the public arena, that doesn’t mean such racist thoughts do not continue and continue.
Such racist speech is not foreign to their elders, however. And every now and then this type of "free speech" needs to be heard. Most people are not telepathic, and they can’t read thoughts.
So every now and then these thinkers need to be heard. However, of course, it’s a problem when they are heard. Because then everybody starts telling them how awful they are. Nevertheless, many of them are just saying what everybody else is just thinking. So let’s not scapegoat Michael Richards, who someone referred to as "a nice guy."
We, all of us, are racists. Let’s just admit it.
Personally, I prefer the word racialist.
Racialists–doesn’t that make us all sound like we’re "nice people."

I disagree fully. I think that might be part of the solution perhaps, but I think the best solution is to ignore it. The fact is most reasonable people discredit racially based opinions. With a few famous people, as well as media, constantly crying racism (i.e the Obama presidency is full of this), which is called race baiting, what happens is it remains in the forefront of people’s minds. We need to treat racism like we treat people who believe in aliens or conspiracies. Discredit them, discredit all racially based remarks, and people will stop caring about them. Also, multiculturalism bolds the lines that make us different from others, unintentionally contributing to our feeling of being different from one another. Embracing that difference keeps racism around, appreciating but ignoring it will weed out all the surface racism that isn’t real, leaving only the KKK and groups like that to be dealt with. Race baiting is a political game, it is in large part not real. We spend all out time focusing on the surface racism and ignore the deep rooted racism. Ignore the surface crap, call it ignorant, call it discredited, and move on to serious stuff.
