STOP! Stop that thought as soon as it arises, push it down and tell yourself whether you belieive it or not that today is going to be the best day ever.
What is this thing that I should be doing to make myself have a great day. Its simple – the first thing you need to do is wake up! oh yes I hear you say, but that’s obvious, but I tell you my friend it is not. What do you actually do when you first awake? Are your first thoughts I need the loo, or I am dreading going to work, or I want to stay in bed and not get up. When was the last time you woke up and told yourself that you were glad to be awake and you felt happy and alive and was looking forward to starting a new day?
If like most people you wake up and start by telling yourself what you DON’T want to do today, then STOP! Stop that thought as soon as it arises, push it down and tell yourself whether you believe it or not that today is going to be the best day ever. Pretend and imagine how wonderful life is going to be today when every minute of the day is going to go your way. Even if you think its just make believe and a dream, carry on with your pretend fantastic day.
