How to Stay Positive When Your Life Sucks
Feeling negative? Here are some ideas to help you feel good and help you achieve what you want in life…
- Firstly, stop feeling sorry for yourself!! If you go around saying that your life sucks, all you really want is some attention and hope somebody Will care enough to actually want to help you! We all know life can be difficult and hard but every time you feel sorry for yourself, consider how fortunate you really are and what you do have that thousands of people in the world don’t! While your complaining about not having designer shoes, somebody out there is trying to live there life to the best they can with no feet, They are aloud to complain! Everyday you live can be a good day! Stop feeling sorry for yourself and take a step forward. Then another. Then another.
- Be Yourself.This is something that you have probably read a lot, be yourself, but honestly, this is what is important! The most common reason why people think there lives suck is because they aren’t living there own lives. Try to look deeply into whether you are acting to please other – Family? Friends? Society? Realize that you need to know who you are and what you want you life to amount to, make the right choices to follow your own path.
- Take a look at the inside. Focus on your good quality and what you like about yourself. Are you intelligent? Are you funny? Are you generous? Try focusing on the positive things in your life. You may actually be having positive influence on other people even when you think your useless!
- Prove all your negative thoughts wrong! When you are feeling down, you might be thinking negative things about yourself such as, I’m Stupid and annoying, Nobody cares about Me, I’m ugly, I wish I looked like her, etc. These things are not true. Change you mind by looking at your good features. You can use what you thought of in Step 3. Think about the people you know that love you, look at all the great things in your life! You need to realize that nobodies life is easy and everybody feels bad about themselves and has moments of low self-esteem. Don’t assume that nobody cares. Every person matters to someone. You’re alive for a reason.
- Be Happy with what you have! Look at those people with so called, amazing, lives and burst with jealousy? Remember, there are people living in mansions with all the money they need who are miserable whereas people living on the streets without enough money to buy food and they are perfectly happy. Its all about how you Look at it.
- Get motivated!What motivates you in life/ What gives you energy to get up and compete the day? Music? Family? Love? God? Friends? School? Give yourself a big boost by focusing on what is most important to you!
- Make a Happiness Journal! Its really simple. At the end of every day write down five things that made you happy or you really appreciated that day! They don’t have to be big things, Nice weather, Playful dog, Kids laughing, Husband kissing you goodbye in the morning, a hilarious joke, etc.
