How to Survive Tough Competition in Professional Life

How to survive competition.

I am no career counselor or someone but the way economical downfall has currently jolted people and employment rates there are lot of questions as to what one can do to stick to his work and not get fired.

Lot of people find it easy to use sweet words and false pretense to please the boss and glue themselves to their office place but in the long run what matters is your efficiency and output for your company. If you have invested 50 bucks in you business and employed a person for 10 bucks you will obviously be looking for an output worth more than 10 bucks to retain that employee. Corporate world though has good number of employees but above calculation still holds true and hence, you cannot just start cursing or abusing when someone is fired from a company having no projects and going through financial crisis.

For an individual though it is a great matter of concern to survive the tough competition and once can surely look out for some small but effective solutions:

  • Harness your capabilities in the areas other than what you are working in your office currently.
  • Make no excuses for responsibilities and always take initiative in new work or project.
  • Instead of feeling insecure about your juniors and colleagues try to help them out the way you can and that will make your organization keep faith in you.
  • Do not hurry in climbing the ladder of monetary gains by always demanding for high salary but rather prove yourself worth and then put forward your point calmly.
  • Avoid any direct trouble with your superior and make all communication through mails to document them.
