How to Train The Memory

How to train the memory, how to memorize the names, facts, events.

People recall the same event differently. The fact is that every event is viewed with an individual point of view. For you it means something different than for someone else, and you remember only that it was important to you personally: you lay the essence of memory, ignoring the details.

But now let’s see how time affects our memory. You extract the event from the store memory, and each time some “piece” is missing. One can not help you “experiencing” their memory, compares it with past and present, again and again, editing it, adapting to the demands of the moment.

This is the effect and other factors. When the information comes to memory, it is split and stored in different parts of the brain that determines the strength of memory. The brain of every person makes it their own way.

Interestingly, the memory of men and women work differently. These differences are not innate, but rather acquired. The average woman is better remember faces and names. Men also are receptive to the device different machines and mechanisms, remember the general direction. They are stored in memory as to the general map of the area, and women are the way of landmarks.

On a bad memory is often blamed inability to recall the name of the person, but the matter is not so. Sometimes we do not pay attention to the name presented to you by man, and then, of course, can not remember it. That’s how much, and they almost nothing to do with their owners.

Use association and analogy. Try to link the name of a man with his face and clothing, with a different name, with a familiar song to you, etc.

Identify what should remember without fail. Do not expend effort on memorizing irrelevant facts and information.

Will focus on what you read or listen. So, if you glanced at this story, remember that at best 10% of the information contained therein. If you read it carefully, remember 90%.

Warning – this is the key to remember and long-term storage of information.

Learn consciously. Make it a rule to repeat myself, that you really want to remember what you just learned.

Memorize gradually. Learn to memorize large amounts of information not at once, but in small portions and slowly.

Use a notebook, tape recorder, information cards or other “improvised means” memory. Often the conscious act of registration of information contributes to a better memorization.

Do not be afraid of failures in the memory. Accept the fact that your memory is imperfect. The less afraid of failure of memory, the less often they occur.
