How to Use Best of Your Time

Some useful time saving tips that may work as reminders for you.

All of us know that time is invaluable. But very few of us know how to manage it, use it the best. Managing time simply means the best use of time we have in our hand. It may sound easy but is not so at all for all of us. Perhaps, it’s due to the general human tendency to postpone the work for coming tomorrow, and in reality that tomorrow never comes. I think it is only a trick of our mind to get rid of responsibility.

Being a working man/woman or a student, all of us know very deep in our heart that generally we avoid working at our best unless we get pressurized by our boss or by circumstances. May it be painful to work under pressure and within a deadline, but surprisingly in most cases it has some great and appreciating result. Although it may not be true for all of us because some people easily get nervous and loose their patience. I would vehemently advice such people to always try to make their own deadline for a work and should try their best to get the work done within the time frame.

Just recall your student life, better examples are there. I think all of us have an experience of our examination days, when after passing whole the year almost without doing much study; we got stressed in eleventh hour. Those of us who ever appeared in competitive examinations may tell a lot about the value of time management In examination hall I have seen many of my friends who removed their wrist watch and kept it on their desk to manage writing the answers within the given time. I can recall one of my written test examinations(that was for a job), when in lack of time my mind got extremely stressed and tired within minutes and as much I tried to coup with, it became more panic and impossible for me. Needless to say I left almost such five questions unanswered to which I have enough factual as well as conceptual knowledge to write down.

Here are some tips that really work if followed without any recklessness-

  1. Always be cautious about what you are doing. It is very necessary to avoid that worthless work which is not necessarily to be done.
  2. Don’t call your friends or relatives during your busy hours. Just avoid politely those people, who are too much chatty.
  3. During a visit to any of friend’s or relative’s home, always be careful about the hours you are spending, because too much and unnecessary talk or argument may make you tired and affect your own work routine.
  4. Buy a day planner. Chalk out a daily schedule and try earnestly and honestly to follow it. You must try to keep your urgent and important works on top in your priority list and to choose the appropriate time to do them.
  5. The most important thing that has to do is to build a strong determination in your mind to follow the day planner. Remember! If you are successful to follow your routine even a single day, you will get morale boost up in reward. You may find it tough for two or three days but be sure, gradually your mind will accept it. Besides you must care your health as poor health badly affects the work ability. If you do some meditation regularly, it will work as a booster. It is one of those important activities which we need to keep our self cool, calm, cautious and in good mood. Remember again, Time and tides wait for none.
