How to wake up early in the morning
Early to bed and Early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. But most of the people find very hard to wake up early in the morning. There are various advantages of waking up early. In Sanskrit it’s called Brahmmuhrat and in punjabi it’s called amritvela it means “divine time” It is the most productive time of the day.In the morning we are least distracted by the hustle bustle of every day life. In morning our mind is fresh and unburdened with the worries of everyday life. Morning is the best time to do yoga and physical activities as our stomach is empty and also best time to meditation and prayer.
We all know the advantages but not able to practise it. Here are few tips to become an early riser
Go to bed earlier: If you want to wake up early you better go to bed earlier. Don’t stick to TV or Computer for so long. If you don’t feel sleep early then forcefully wake up early one morning and then try going to bed early the next day. If we get little sleep then normally we tend to sleep early next day.Put a glass of water near your bed and drink the water as soon as you wake up
Keep your alarm clock away from your bed: Alarm is not a solution to wake up early. We normally snooze our alarm. So keep your alarm clock away from your bed to give yourself time to go to alarm clock and shut it off. Don’t put a boring trring tring as your alarm tone. Make any of your favourite songs or any recording as your alarm tone
Be Slow and steady: Don’t try to change your habit drastically. First wake up half an hour before your normal time. Then after following it for few days gradually increase it with another half an hour.
Pick up a time to wake up: Pick up a time when you will wake up early which means waking up with the alarm tone with no excuses. Wake up at that time and do not snooze the alarm. This requires will power and self discipline. Don’t make excuses for sleeping for five or ten more minutes. This will require will power only in the beginning. Once you will make it a daily habit you may not even need an alarm to wake up. It will happen subconsciously
Don’t sleep in day time: If you will sleep in the day time then you will tend to sleep late at night and will end up waking up late. Sleeping in day time is also not good for health.
Wake up early even on holidays: If you wake up late on holidays your will sleep late in night and it will spoil your routine
Utilise time: If you wake up early and utilise that extra time properly. It will give you a sense of motivation and a sense of accomplishment. You will be motivated to practice it daily.

Great points. Years ago, I have difficulties in waking up early, but as I tried to wake up early everday even during weekends, it is now becoming a habit, and I like it.
