Hydropower

Information about a renewable resource that people might not know about
and yes the hoover dam is in arizona.

Dams do not pollute the environment once it is built and can reach high power very fast. Hydropower is more reliable since water can be stored upriver whenever it is needed and does not depend on weather conditions such as wind power relying on wind or solar power relying on the amount of sunlight. The source of the power from dams is water and it is free. Water comes from water vapor from the ocean and later condensed and it falls as precipitation, thus there is a constant renewal of the source. The electricity made from dams can be acquired at any time since it does not depend on the time because of the water on the top of the dam.

Hydro power is acquired from water. Water can be found in many different places, but there has to be a lot of water for a dam to provide more energy. Dams are usually built in places around lakes or reservoirs. Some are built by rivers but the problem is that the amount of water flowing through the dam cannot be controlled and water cannot be stored. The Hoover Dam can provide tons of power a year.
