Inspirational Sayings to Combat Failure

by CHAN LEE PENG in Advice, October 7, 2009

Life can come and go. The better way to deal with all ups and downs in life is to furnish your mind with inspirational and meaningful sayings that will help lift your spirit up. The message of these sayings can change your life and thinking, but most importantly, they can make you feel motivated and energized.

This is the eleventh part of my inspirational sayings: Inspirational and meaningful sayings for a better life (part one), Inspirational sayings for a meaningful life (part two), Inspirational sayings for a deeply meaningful life (part three), Inspirational sayings for a spiritual life (part four), Inspirational sayings for a deeply spiritual life (part five), Inspirational sayings for love and success (part six), Inspirational sayings for a suffering life (part seven), meaningful sayings from a journey of a patient’s life (part eight), meaningful sayings for a meaningful life (part nine), inspirational sayings for a happy life (part ten) and thought-provoking sayings for your life (part twelfth).

Here are some sayings on “what I feel”, “what I observe”, “what I see”, “what I think” and “what I perceive”. And I do hope all these sayings can benefit you, your friends, your family, your career and any persons. Here we go..

When your heart and soul are both tied with a negative self-esteem, you, at any occasion, can’t simply make any progress. That is to say, when you’ve a hard time recognizing your present goals, you’re definitely can’t make any significant progress.

Just ask yourself: Are you having more positive days than before? Are you feeling happier than before? Have you forgotten any objective goals of yours? Aren’t you demonstrating a continual commitment to help yourself grow over the time?

Very often, you tend to exaggerate and overrate your capability to do things. No doubt you would bowl yourself over to realize how successful you didn’t know you were!

When you keep on comparing your ability and inside with other people’s ability and outside, you’re actually making a wrong assessment.

You may feel regret for not achieving any wonderful progress. But, let’s take a breath and think, you can make an amazing turn around by holding your head high, and by keeping your feet in motion. As long as you’re on the right path, you needn’t worry, because you’re still in the race towards a better tomorrow.

Last year, when you made all your resolutions, you felt extremely determined, strong, dedicated, confident and optimistic. You felt you were unbeatable! How about now? You feel extremely disappointed for all your resolutions, because they’ve turned into a dream, and you collect nothing but a heap of dust! Well, look through your days! The calendar and clock aren’t the best measurement that governs your success and progress. Do you know that spiritual strength is overpowering your mind? Yes, only with persistent dedication, determination and patience will you lead the way to a successful life.

You may have promised yourself that you’d like to look much healthier, prettier, slimmer, wealthier or happier at this moment. You somehow tried to achieve this goal, but you never achieve it when the year draws to a close. Even though you may feel disappointed in your failure to achieve your goal, in a reality, you’re still believing in your rate of progress, aren’t you?

Sometimes, you feel let down and somehow sad as you’re regretting your rate of progress. You may have simply let yourself get too tired with the hustle and bustle of your days. Remember this, you’re still alive and kicking, aren’t you?

“When you keep on comparing your ability and insides with other people’s ability and outsides, you’re actually making a wrong assessment”

I really like this saying the best. I think we should stop trying to compare ourselves to others and try to be happy with who we are.
