Laughter – the All in One Exress Way Ticket Into Blissful Twilight Years
A smile – cheapest make over yet! brightens ones face, brightens one’s outlook. A laugh – melodious way into brightening and straightening one’s insides and outsides.

Laughing your way past pain, and fever – all the while getting your internal dose of exercise! It has been reported by various researchers that laughing your way into the twilight years of your life could very well be the very reason you get to see the said twilight years.
Laughter like all good anti-depressants leave us feeling a-glow and a wash with good humour; think about it, every time someone makes you laugh, you are among many things, happier [in that very moment}, more at ease and definitely more relaxed. Certain hormones associated with irritability and stress such as cortisol are also reduced, making you a more accommodating, more patient and easier to relate to person. Its is always the smile in the room that comforts most, that exudes a more approachable nature. However, reducing the amounts of cortisol in your system works towards helping to maintain your overall immune system. So is it true that laughter does indeed buy us a ticket into our twilight years? YES! Definitely YES!
Laughter acts as an internal massage of all our vital organs, the heart and lungs, and intestinal muscles not forgetting and especially for the sake of vanity, also our facial muscles, improving tone and endurance. We all {well, most of us}, agree that the doctors recommend healthy living for longer living, amongst the prime recommendations being a sensible diet and sensible exercise…with laughter, your are half way there already! Still on the topic of health and doctors, researcher indicate that laughing does stimulate better blood flow, thus reducing the risk of clogged arteries and risk of developing heart diseases as a result. In line with the same, Laughing releases along enzymes and hormones that help in the normal functions of certain important organs, including endorphins that are reported to be more effective than morphine in pain relief.
It has also been found that laughter goes a long way to relieve stress, but here is the most interesting of findings, laughter DOES relieve hay fever while also helping to control diabetes! Now why wouldn’t we all want to buy our way around such ailments? Caused by old age and disagreeable blood flow? Lets all cultivate a healthy sense of humour, laugh our way into and beyond age and maybe along the way, bring glows and miniature packages of happiness to all we meet along the way!

Very good insights and reminders. Life is too short to be solemn and serious as we live through our days.

You’re absolutely right! Laughter is still the best medicine. It’s a cliche’, but true.
