Laying Awake in Bed, for Hours

Your totally exhausted, can wait to hit the bed, and five hours later your wide awake unable to get back to sleep.

Laying Awake in Bed, for Hours

It is so annoying, I am totally exhausted, it is only 7p.m.; and I know if I go to sleep I will be up by 10p.m. and unable to go back to sleep. It doesn’t end there though, if I wait until 11p.m. to go to bed, I am up by 4a.m., and I just lay there awake. First I panic because I know I won’t be able to get back to sleep, then my mind starts to race thinking about the things I forgot to do yesterday and what I have to tomorrow. I try not to move too much, for I don’t want to wake my spouse, so as I lay there, I begin to get more and more frustrated as I look at the clock.

With a glimmer of hope you mention this to your doctor or health care provider about your situation, and he is quick to prescribe a sleeping pill, telling you to make sure you dedicate at least ten hours to sleeping. That was not what you wanted; you have kids at home, and cannot afford to be totally unconscious, beside there are side affects that are worse than the fact that your lacking sleep.

You decide you would look for holistic medicine and natural remedies, you search the Internet and you find a lot of people giving advice, from going to bed later to taking Valerian root before going to bed. You realize that trying to stay up past 11p.m. was not the answer, your exhausted. You wonder about Valerian root but you are not sure if you want to try it. Holistic practitioners say that Valerian root is know to the medical world as Valium; but without the side affects, you decide you will think about it for now.
