Learn to Love Yourself
We should not wait for others to love us and why do we forget that we too can love our self. So learn to love yourself.
The word “love” whenever spoken or heard gives us joy and happiness. Again, if we know that we are special for some one and some one loves us we feel life is beautiful. However, have you ever told yourself that you are in love with yourself? Therefore, my question to you is do you love yourself. There is nothing to laugh at and made fun of this question. I can say that I am truly, madly and deeply in love with myself.
“Where there is great love, there are always miracles.” - Willa Cather
In my opinion, I think we should not wait for others to love us and why do we forget that we too can love our self. Again when others can love us for what we are then why we don’t say that we love our self. May be we do not realise the importance of our self and what difference does it makes in our life when we start loving our self. So learn to love yourself.
Know that you are the best and very special person and blessed by God. If you are unable to acknowledge the gift of God then you will never find peace and satisfaction in your life, as you will always regret about something or the other. You shall miss life and meaning it has behind you life. However, you may be enjoying life with money, happy family but the most important aspect of your own life is still uncovered and unexplored.
“Love is what we are born with. Fear is what we have learned here. The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and the acceptance of love back into our hearts.” – Marianne Williamson
Learn to love yourself, your qualities which make you a different and special person from rest of all. Don’t be foolish to compare yourself with others. May be chances are that you might have not explored your true self and the hidden treasure which is still unexplored. Hence the best way is to be happy with oneself and if you like someone’s good quality then do take efforts to learn them but never put yourself down or others higher on the scale.
Break free from all barriers and do what you feel is right may be it won’t be okay with others but without experimenting how can you judge whether it is right or wrong. When you start loving yourself and trusting yourself, you will start enjoying your life and see life with new eyes. So set yourself free, spread your wings, and fly high to see the beautiful world, which you still have not explored.
Be grateful to God and love yourself. Acknowledge the special gift by God to you. Keep faith and just love yourself.

Easily said but so hard to do. The mind is caught up in so many insecurities that for many of us life just passes us by. Many thanks for posting this very nice article!!

Dear stephencardiff and Vikram Chhabra,
Greetings,
I am glad you took time, read my articles, and left some good comments for me. This message is related to one of your comments left for my article “Learn to Love Yourself”.
I thought about your comment and today while I was reading I was able to find a perfect answer for you. This is an extract from “Heart at Work” complied by Jack Canfield and Jacqueline Miller.
There is connection between a mind, which is peaceful, and behavior, which is good. It is interesting to note how the sensory apparatus – sight, touch, hearing, taste and smell – are involved in this.
For example, suppose I promise myself not to get angry any more because I’ve understood the harm it causes but then later in the day I ‘see’ or ‘hear’ something negative. I allow myself to forget my promise, that is my level of awareness regresses to what it was, then my immediate reaction will probably be equally negative. If, however, I remember my promise, the same stimuli will most likely produce a wiser, more resourceful response.
With spiritual study, my mind grows strong in its commitment to peace and truth in action. This strength allows me to gain control over the sense organs. I simply don’t allow them to proceed as usual according to my conditioning. I remain consciously present, monitoring whatever they do. It is the first step in becoming a ruler of the kingdom of the self.
I hope I was able to help you by this message.
God Bless,
Priya Bhinde
