Life is Too Short

Make sure you live your life to the fullest. You only get one chance.

Deciding

It is to short. It really is. I mean, I was eighteen just the other day. The other day I was still trying to figure out what it is I’m supposed to do with my life or want to do. Somehow, in the meantime, I have managed to get married, have two children, have a job and reach the age of – well, lets just say I am now closer to fifty than I was at eighteen.

Deciding what you should be doing with your life, should not take you your whole life. If you are looking at you thirtieth birthday and you still haven’t made up your mind – pick something. Anything. Take the first thing that comes to mind and stay with it. Chances are you will pick the same thing you wanted to at eighteen, when you where still listening to your parents and absorbed their doubts and fears.

But it’s not a job that pays well? There are a number of people, with very high incomes, that will tell you to “figure out what it is you want to do and then figure out how to get paid for it”. There are also a number of vocations in which, people will tell, you will never make money – yet I look at where the practitioners of those vocations live and what they drive and I don’t see any lack. In fact, some of them are quite wealthy.

These day, with Internet and all sorts of technology and magazines available, there is no reason why your income potential or source should be limited. As long as you believe in what it you want to do and believe that you can do it – and most importantly believe that you can and will find a way to generate the income you desire, you can do it. Educating yourself will also help a lot.

Don’t wait any longer! Tomorrow is not a given. It might not show up at all or you might miss an opportunity you where not open to, because you where not looking. You can control what happens to you in the future, because you intend it to happen. You intend it to happen, because you have decided what it is you want and you have set goals to achieve it. If you don’t, you will float around in an immense sea of happenings and possibilities and this very short live you have will serve no purpose for you or anybody else. Don’t know about you, but feeling lost and confused just does not appeal to me at all.
