Living All Year Long

A short review of “How to Live 365 Days a Year”…

t was a book that instructed people how to appreciate life instead of being anxious, but there were examples of how the doctor himself and others did not know how to properly approach the problem related to a physical manifestation of an emotional upset. Emotional outbreaks cause illness in the book and there instances when physical symptoms develop because of apprehension and a repeated annoyance.

The author wanted to introduce the concept of how emotions are transferred to the body in such a way as to cause physical changes, that can be reversed in time. He referred to emotionally induced illnesses.
when he talked about how people ought  to live every day of the year instead living to worry. Most people live only part of their day in satisfaction and enjoyment, the rest is either clogged with emotional pain or their is some apprehension or nervousness associated to an emotional need or lack.

His message was that life would be fuller if we could either avoid the chain of reactions that lead to the old way of reacting to something that causes emotional pain or suffering or look at the chain of reactions in such a way so that the subject is better able to guide himself through the emotional maze. He even added the the more intelligent the person is the more  likely he will face emotional pain.

By admitting how people may be intelligent enough to pass their exams but be ill equipped to take care of their emotional needs, he is not saying that all smart people are emotionally inept. An intelligent person will have more responsibility and that will mean he will have more pressure from his surroundings.Given that each person has a specific emotional threshold, some people are better able to deal with an overload than others.

If the emotional inducing continues eventually you will have a physical reaction to the insult. He referred to a specific dermatatisis which eventually came to the surface because of repeated emotional causes. One can also think of people who get hyper thyrotic because of a repeatred stressful drama. Of course there is also the element of being genetically predisposed they say, but stressful environments figure largely in inducing illnesses. It is better not to get worked up for the most part if you don’t want to get ill.
