Living with Purpose

“The person who takes charge of his life realizes that total health and successful living find poor nourishment in the soil of complacency”.

A Spanish philosopher observed that at the moment of our birth those who love us are joyous and smiling, while we come in crying. He suggested that if we can live our lives so that at the moment of death our loved ones are crying and we are joyous and smiling, our purpose will have been fulfilled.

The great educator Horace Mann said, “Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity.” You and I will be honored and remembered not for what we received in life but for what we gave. And the greatest gift we have to give, to ourselves and to others, is the way we live each day.

You and I can prepare for a successful life by responsibly avoid what hinders us and be responsibly utilizing what helps us fulfill the purpose for which God created us. We have no control over how much or how little ability we’ve got. God gives it to us, much or little. We do have control, though, over what we do with it.

Whatever your station, your loves, or your work, create a lifestyle you can live with. By consistently doing your best to realize God’s full potential for you and helping others do the same, you’ll enjoy a satisfaction that is rarely found in this life.
