Things you can do to stimulate your body and brain.

Sometime during your day, find the time to

complete a crossword puzzle, this keeps the

gray cells stimulated.

Before you arise in the morning, do a few

exercises, before you get up from the bed.

Do leg lifts, also, put your knees up together

with your feet on the bed, then with your knees

together, swing your bended legs from side to

side. Lift your arms straight up and swing them

up and down and across, on both sides.

Another

stimulation which is almost pain free.

While you are still in bed, place your head

over the side of the bed, letting the blood

flow into the brain, stay there as long as you

can, please don’t fall out of the bed.

Take the time, to do things with your non-

dominate hand. Brush your teeth with your

left hand if you are right handed, comb your

hair when you begin combing, with the hand

you don’t normally use. This will start to perk

up new brain cells and may even improve your

memory functions, if you do this long enough.

Stop using deodorant, which contains aluminum,

it has been reported, that the aluminum goes into

your pores and could increase the risk of getting

alzheimer’s disease. Find a deodorant at the health

food store which does not contain any aluminum.

Some form of moderate exercise is always good, if

you can’t walk outside, take a heavy book in each

hand, and walk through your house or apartment

for 15 to 20 minutes, doing deep breathing as you go.

If you can’t do 15 to 20 minutes, walk as long as you

can.

Last of all, smile as much as you can, this equates

to exercise as well.

My grandmother used to always do the leg lifts and exercises in bed before she rose out of bed. I used to think she was crazy when I was little, but I know now that there was something to it. Thanks for the info.

…Andy-N, Josey, thanks guys, yes it helps an awful lot, if you start your day, warming up, before you get up. The key is to keep moving. The leaning over the side of the bed actually strengthens your memory as well. For ladies, research for a good face massage routine.
