Looking Great, Feeling Great

Going out in public can be tough for some. Here are some thoughts on what you can do to feel good about yourself when in a public environment.

I notice that a lot of people these days are looking, and acting differently when they go out into public. In my opinion this behavior is all relative.

Do you ever notice when you go out into public that sometimes you just feel out of it. Like you can’t find the energy to do the things that you used to do, Or you don’t feel like talking to someone you see, that you know.

A lot of that i think is because of that feeling of low self-esteem that many of us live with day to day, when we encounter some situations that we are unsure of how to act.

Here are some things to think about when encountering these situations.

First thing to do, is realize that this is going on. Notice your behavior. Once you acknowledge that this is happening, you can make the adjustment to your personality from there.

Look at the person that is making you feel this way, and silently think about the reason why this/these people make you put up that guard. Mostly everybody has the same feelings of acceptance that you are encountering. Everybody needs to be accepted on some level, and most people don’t care about the things that you have, in a monetary sense. If it happens because a feeling of inadequecy because you may not have alot of money- I’ve noticed that most people just feel “It’s nice to meet nice people”. And they are o.k. with the fact that you aren’t loaded with Millions.

Everybody encounters problems in their lives. If you are that worried about the way people might look at you, and don’t want to give off that image, Then you can always put up a curtain around your problems, and simply tell everyone that things are going great. It’s a lie, sure. But not everyone needs to know, or can handle some information re: personal problems that you might have. So keep a lid on them. Only tell people what you want them to know. And this way you can attempt to persuade their thoughts into a more positive way of regarding you. 

Here are a few additional ways to feel good in these situations;  Try a shower. People like clean people. Try to put on clean clothes, shave, Manicure, pedicure, whatever it takes to achieve good personal hygiene. In other words have some self-respect. Make yourself look good, at least in your own eyes. Do all that you can do to make (you) look the best that you can look.  When you look your best and you know it, you give off a different vibe than when you just got off of work, and are still grubby. You are more accepted, and more accepting to various circumstances.So try it out for a week… In stead of just going out. Think about it. Did you shave? Did you shower? Are your clothes clean?  Are you happy with the person you see in the mirror? If so, that’s all you can do. Because you feel that you look good, it has an immediate influence on your attitude towards yourself. And the confidence that you give off will be noticed by others.

I hope this helps everyone who isn’t as sure about themselves, as i feel they should be. You can only do so much with what you were given. Try to make the best of it, and it will show to others. Nobody really likes anybody that doesn’t like themselves. So look the best that you can, and it will make you feel the best that you can.

    Try it without the toys this time and see if there is any difference in your attitude.
